Preamplifier 7Y-17 : instructions for use. -

The voltage preamplifier Y-17 is intended for amplification audio frequency signals supplied from a magnetic sound pick-up head used in showing substandard 16 mm films with magnetic sound recording; and for amplification speech frequency signals supplied from a moving-coil microphone of any type (RDM, MDM and others).

The 7Ó-17 preamplifier circuit has been designed for operation in set with the amplifier 90Y-2, the latter’s circuit requiring no readjustment.

The sound is picked up from magnetic records by means of magnetic head mounted on the film projector.
